Fermentation Vessels

The original probiotics! Fermentation techniques were originally developed as a way to preserve food.

Wheel-thrown and fired atmoshperically, these fermentation vessels come equipped with two half-circle weights which can be placed into the crock to keep your ferments submerged. The lid is designed with an open moat, which can be filled with water to prevent outside air from entering the crock during the fermentation period to create an ideal anaerobic environment.

Each crock is handmade with thick walls to ensure good temperature regulation, fired to very high temperatures (over 2200 degrees) for durability and is made with non-toxic glaze materials.
